Last Will and Testament of Gideon Breidegam

I, Gideon Breidegam, of the township of Alsace, County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, farmer, do make this my last will and testament in the manner and form following:-

  1. It is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as conveniently can be after my decease.
  2. I give and bequeath unto my wife Hannah the sum of one hundred dollars in addition to what she is legally entitled to the law of the commonwealth.
  3. I give and bequeath unto my grandson, Gideon Breidegam, the sum of fifty dollars.
  4. All the remainder and residue of my estate, I bequeath unto my three children, William, Thomas, Caroline to be divided share and share alike.
  5. I nominate, constitute and appoint my two sons William and Thomas to be the executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills, legacies and bequests by me heretofore made, and declaring this my last will and testament and hereby empower my said executors to sell all my property personal and real and give proper conveyance therefore.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of August one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.

Signed, sealed, declared and published by the above named Gideon Breidegam as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us, who at his request and in his presence, have subscribed our names as witnesses there to.
