Services for Marie C. Oakes, 66, of 50 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Edward W. Cloughen will officiate in the Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Wernersville. Burial will be in St. Daniel's Cemetery, Heidelberg Township. The wife of Wallace W. Oakes Sr., she was dead on arrival Tuesday morning in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Ida (Moyer) Adams. Mrs. Oakes was a member of St. Daniel's Lutheran Church, Robesonia R.D. Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons: Wallace W. Jr., Wernersville; Donald W., Reading; and Barry L., Fleetwood. A sister, Catherine, wife of Harvey Steely, Stevens; and a stepsister, Fern Adams, Colonial Hills. Also five stepbrothers: Junior Adams, Rehrersburg; Warren Adams, Shillington; Kenneth Adams, Lincoln Park; Lester Adams, Wernersville, and Herman Adams, Sinking Spring.

Oaks, Catharine

Catharine, widow of Jeremiah Oaks died of heart failure at 4:30 a.m. to-day at her residence, 238 West Buttonwood, aged 89 years. Deceased was born in this city and lived here all her life. She was a member of Epler's church and is survived by four sons, William, Milton, Valentine, and Henry Oaks; three brothers, Eli, William and Daniel Zerbe, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Fryermoyer, all of Reading.

Oberholtzer, Annabelle (nee Bird)

Annabelle Oberholtzer, 86, formerly of Reinholds, died June 28 at 2:30 p.m. in Tel Hai Retirement Home, Honey Brook, Chester County. Her husband, Robert L. Oberholtzer, died Jan. 27, 1962. Born in Adamstown, she was a daughter of the late John Z. and Lottie (Deysher) Bird. Oberholtzer was last employed by Bollman Hat Co., Adamstown. Surviving is a son, Linton R., Morgantown. Other survivors include two grandchildren. Graveside services will be Friday at 3 p.m. in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville, Lancaster County. The Roseboro Funeral Home, Denver, Lancaster County, is in charge of arrangements.

Oberholtzer, Barta F.

Barta F. Oberholtzer, 68, died of natural causes May 7 at 11:31 a.m. in her Maidencreek Township residence. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Whalen and Mable (Witmer) Fenstermacher. Oberholtzer had been last employed by Wegman's Grocery Store, Allentown, until the time of her death. She previously retired from Glen-Gery Brick Corp., Perry Township. She was a member of Becker's (St. Peter's) Lutheran Church, Richmond Township. Oberholtzer was a graduate of Reading High School and Rochester University, N.Y. She is survived by a son, Joshua J., Exeter Township; and two daughters, Lydia S. Oberholtzer, Takoma Park, Md., and Alicia M. (Oberholtzer) Waid, Fleetwood. Other survivors include a brother, James M. Fenstermacher, San Antonio. There are also five grandchildren. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Lutz Funeral Home Inc., Mount Penn. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.

Oberholtzer, Jacob B.

Former Hamburg mayor Services will be held April 9, 11 a.m., in the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Hamburg, for Jacob B. "Obie" Oberholtzer, 86, who died April 4 in his Mountain View Drive, Tilden Township residence. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. He was the husband of Clara M. (Werley) Oberholtzer. Born in Hamburg, he was a son of the late Abram C. and Anna (Miles) Oberholtzer. He was mayor of Hamburg from 1976 to 1980. Until retiring in 1972, he was employed by the Pennsylvania State Police for 35 years, retiring as a sergeant. Oberholtzer was a 1934 graduate of Hamburg High School. He was instrumental in the construction of a dam located behind the Hamburg Rod and Gun Club, where he organized an annual fishing rodeo for several years. Oberholtzer was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader of Troup 184, Hamburg, for many years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Also surviving are a daughter, Susan A. (Oberholtzer) Kehr, with whom he resided; and three sons: Allan C. Oberholtzer, Kutztown; Bruce D. Oberholtzer, Allentown; and John R. Oberholtzer, Holland, Bucks County. There are also 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a brother, William H. Oberholtzer, Bethlehem.

Oberholtzer, Paul B.

Paul B., son of Lloyd S. And Lillian S. (Benfield) Oberholtzer, Center Valley, near Coopersburg, passed away on January 5, at his parents' home, aged 9 years, 6 months and 29 days. He was born at Bernville, Berks county, June 6, 1922, and baptized September 2, same year, by Rev. Frank W. Ruth. Rev. J. H. Raker, D.D., superintendent of the Good Shepherd Home, Allentown, conducted the house services on Sunday afternoon, and took part in the services at Huff's church, where the funeral services were held. Surviving are the parents and two sisters, Ruth and Mae, at home; also the paternal and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elam Oberholtzer, Barto R. 2, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Benfield, Alburtis. R.1.

Oberholtzer, Wayne S.

Shamrock news. Wayne S., son of Elam L. and Ella N. Shankweiler Oberholtzer, of Barto R. 2, fell asleep in the Misericordia hospital, Philadelphia, where he had been engaged in the mercantile ebusiness, on May 20, aged 34 years, 1 month and 4 days. His remains were brought to his parents' home in Hereford township, whence funeral services were held on May 25, and continued in the Hereford Mennonite church at Bally, followed by interment on the family plot in that cemetery. The pallbearers were Earl, Harold and Roy Oberholtzer and Jacob, William and Irwin Shankweiler. The deceased was born April 16, 1900. Baptized in infancy and confirmed in early life at Huff's church. Surviving are his parents, 2 brothers, Lloyd S., Center Valley, and Landis B., Hazleton, and one sister, Irene S. Oberholtzer, R.N., Pottstown hospital. A trio of the Hereford church at Bally, John Latshaw, Mrs. Dr. E. E. Johnson and Cora Oberholtzer, san a number of comforting selections. In the absence of the pastor (the Rev. Dr. E. E. Johnson lecturing in New England, Rev. W. F. Bond conducted the services, which were largely attended.

O'Brien, Gertie (nee Stevens)

In ill health for over a year, Mrs. Gertie O'Brien, of Mertztown, died at the Allentown hospital early yesterday. She had been a patient at the institution for the past ten days. She was 51 years of age. Born in Lower Macungie, she was the daughter of Sanford and Mary, nee Merkle, Stevens. Her husband died more than a year ago. She was a faithful member of the Trexlertown Union church, Reformed wing. She is survived by two sons, Paul of Alburtis, Woodrow at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Fred shoemaker of Macungie R. 1. There also survive nine grandchildren and three brothers, Harvey of Alburtis R. 1, John of Breinigsville R. 2 and Edwin of Northampton; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Sherer of Kutztown R. 4, Mrs. Jennie Behney of Allentown and Eva Stevens of Breinigsville R. 1.

O'Brien, Sandra L.

Sandra L. O'Brien, 49, Wernersville, died of natural causes March 30 at 5:55 p.m. in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Ronald G. O'Brien. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of William E. and Joan E. (Lutz) Grimes, Womelsdorf. O'Brien was employed in the catheterization lab by Reading Hospital from 1976 until her retirement in November. She was a 1973 graduate of Conrad Weiser High School, Robesonia, and a 1976 graduate of Chester County Hospital where she earned her registered nurse degree. O'Brien was a member of St. Daniel's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg Township, where she was a former council woman and choir member and a volunteer in the free clinic. She is also survived by three daughters: Amy E. O'Brien, Womelsdorf; Karen L. O'Brien, Lansing, Mich.; and Stephanie A. O'Brien, Wernersville. Other survivors include a brother, Robert M. Grimes, Newmanstown, Lebanon County; and two sisters, Kathleen J. (Grimes) Yarnall and Diane M. Grimes, both of Womelsdorf. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Daniel's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery, Heidelberg Township. Obyle, Sarah C.

Services were held in Grace Lutheran Church, Topton, for Sarah C. Obyle, formerly of Hamburg and Kempton, who died July 27 in the Henry Health Care Center at the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was a resident of the Lutheran Home at Topton since July 23, 1999. Burial was in Becker's (St. Peter's) Cemetery, Molltown. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph J. Obyle, who died Jan. 19, 1975. Born in Maidencreek Township, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Maude (Gehret) Dietrich. Until retiring in the mid-1970's, she was employed as a trimmer by the Saucony Shoe Co. and the Wenton Shoe Co., both in Kutztown, from 1965. Surviving are four daughters: Patricia E. (Obyle) Rothermel, Greenwich Township; Ardella A. (Obyle) DeLong, Rockland Township; Elaine A. (Obyle) Silliman, Maxatawny Township; and Sarah A. (Obyle) Heck, Windsor Township. There are also 10 grandchildren, a stepgranddaughter, 14 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and a stepgreat-great-grandson. Other survivors include a sister, Dorothy (Dietrich) Kline, Rockland Township, and a brother, Herbert Dietrich, Fort Myers, Fla. The Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, was in charge of arrangements.

Frederick A Och, 95, of 2 East Main Street, Adamstown, Pa, formerly of Tioga, died Thursday, May 11, 1967 at the Hassler Home in Berks County after a brief illness He was the son of the late John and Henrietta ang Och, and a former employee at the Corning Glass Works m Corning, N Y. Survived by two nieces Funeral was Sunday from the Roseboro Funeral Home m Denver, Pa Graveside services were held Monday in the Wellsboro Cemetery.

Ochs, Clarence S.

Clarence S. Ochs, 90, York, formerly of Reading, died July 5 at 1:25 a.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Kingston, York County, where he had resided 3-1/2 years. His wife, Mary P. (Bright) Ochs, died March 31, 1989. Born in Wernersville, he was a son of the late William S. and Catherine (Stuck) Ochs. Ochs was employed for many years as an organ repairer by the Fulton Organ Co., Reading, and Ambrose L. Jackson Co. Inc., Rancocas, N.J., retiring in 1980. He was a graduate of Wernersville High School. Ochs was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Reformed Church, Wernersville. Ochs was a life member of the Mount Pleasant Fire Company; Citizens Hose Company, Wernersville; Liberty Fire Company, Sinking Spring; and the Wernersville Volunteer Firemans Association. Surviving is a stepdaughter, Shirley M. Showalter, a resident at the Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Reading. Other survivors include a sister, Erma (Ochs) Miley, Hebron, Md.; and a stepsister, Emma Hayes, Overland Park, Kan. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Bean Funeral Homes Inc., Shillington. Margaret M. "Gak" O'Hara, 85, of 20 Lincoln Drive, Tilden Township, Berks County, formerly of Pottsville, died Saturday at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, where she had been a patient since Jan. 10. Born in Saint Clair, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Bridget A. Geary McCarthy. She was 1932 graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School and a 1934 graduate of Pierce Business School, Philadelphia. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Hamburg. Her husband, Martin E., died Nov. 6, 1984. Surviving are a daughter, Mary G. Laurie, who whom she resided; a son, Martin E. Jr., Allentown; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Ohlinger, Elwood M.

Elwood M. OHLINGER, 19, of Reading R.D. 2, died last evening the the Homeopathic Hospital from injuries he received yesterday when his motorcycle, which he was riding, struck a pedestrian at Window Street and Schuylkill Avenue. He was a son of Eluthera E. and the late Ida (MARQUETT) Ohlinger, and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Spangsville. Surviving are his father, three brothers, Daniel, of Stony Creek Mills, and Leon and Earl, both at home; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Snyder, of Mt. Penn and Amy, of Reading. Funeral arrangements are in charge of E.Y. Weidner & Son, Oley, funeral directors.

Leon M. Ohlinger, 87, formerly of Oley, died May 13 in Praxis Alzheimer's Facility, Easton. His wife, Mildred (Faust) Ohlinger, died in November 1968. Born in Oley, he was a son of the late Eluthera and Ida (Marquette) Ohlinger. Ohlinger was employed for 32 years as a long-distance truck driver, retiring in 1985. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving is a daughter, Sylvia (Ohlinger) Lengel, Fredonia, N.Y. Other survivors include two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Elaine (Ohlinger) Collins, in November. Burial was in Schuylkill Memorial Park, near Schuylkill Haven. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton, was in charge of arrangements.

Ohlinger, Lynn H.

Private services were held for Lynn H. Ohlinger. Ohlinger died Feb. 27 in his residence in Jefferson Township. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Township. The Berks County coroner's office is investigating the cause of death. Ohlinger was the husband of Bonita L. (Merchlinsky) Ohlinger. He is predeceased by his first wife, Deborah E. (Bogert) Barrett, on Aug. 8, 2001. Born in West Reading, he was a son of Eleanor E. (Althouse) Ohlinger, Reading, and the late Harold R. Ohlinger. He was a former street stock driver at Susquehanna Speedway. Ohlinger was employed by Parish Structural Products Division of Dana Corp., Reading, for 22 years. He was last employed as a maintenance worker by Lower Heidelberg Township, last working Feb. 25. He was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Spring Township. Ohlinger is survived by two sons, Jared L. and Matthew Ohlinger, both of Reading, and three stepsons: Gunnar T. Kaminsky, Mahanoy City, Schuylkill County; Kyle C. Kaminsky, Pine Grove, Schuylkill County; and Curtis D. Navitsky, at home. There are seven grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Donna M. (Althouse) Clark, Laureldale. Isabella S., wife of Benjamin Oldt, passed away at her residence, near Mertztown, Sunday. She had been ill for the last two years. She attained the age of 80 years. She was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Longswamp church. Fraternally, she was connected with the Ladies of the K.G.E., No. 124, Kutztown, and Camp 30, P.O. of A., of Allentown. She was born in Albany township, the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary E. (Steiger) Brownmiller. Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. John Eck, Lyons, Mrs. Jonas Kistler, Allentown, Mrs. Calvin Flicker, Breinigsville, R.D. 1; one brother, Henry, at home; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Among the local survivors of Barbara J. (Lape) Oliver, 61, Richland, Lebanon County, who died of natural causes Feb. 4 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, where she had been a patient since Jan. 31, is a brother, Brian Lape, Bethel.

O'Neil, Margaret E.

Services were held for Margaret E. O'Neil, 80, formerly of Knollwood Lane, Exeter Township, who died June 26 in Beverly Manor, Exeter Township, where she had resided since 2000. She was the widow of Charles G. O'Neil, who died in 1974. Born in Reading, she had been employed for 14 years as a laboratory technician by Crompton & Knowles Inc., Robeson Township, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Olivet Reformed Church, Reading. O'Neil was inducted into the Reading Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1984. She is survived by a sister and a brother. Burial was in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. The Bean Funeral Homes Inc., Exeter Township, handled the arrangements.

O'Neill, Bertha V.

Services were held for Bertha V. O'Neill, 79, of Luzerne Street, Reading, who died February 17 in the emergency room at St. Joseph Medical Center. Her husband, Harry J. O'Neill, died in 1972. Born in Boyertown, he was a graduate of Mount Penn High School. Surviving are two sons, Harry J. III, Leesport, and Todd M., Womelsdorf; and two daughters, Alice L. (Mengel) Baum, Reading, and Beth A. O'Neill-Pletz, Leesport. Other survivors include 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Brian D. O'Neill, in 1969. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. The arrangements were handled by the Henninger Funeral Home Inc.

O'Neill, Elmer

Elmer O'Neill of near Bowers, Rockland township, Berks county, died at noon yesterday at St. Joseph's hospital, Reading, where he had been a patient for four weeks. He was 70 years old. A resident of Rockland township practically all of his life, he was a son of the late Daniel and Sarah, nee Sicher, O'Neill. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the DeLong funeral home, 107 S. Home St., Topton. Interment will be made in the Topton Union cemetery. Rev. William F. Bond will officiate. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Osipovitch, Leah E.

Leah Emma Osipovitch, 73, of 71 East Union St., Canton, died Wednesday, March 9, 1994, at home.

Born March 2, 1921, in Center Township, Berks County, she was the daughter of Fredrick S. and Mabel Emma Mason Machmer. In 1939, she graduated from Canton High School.

She married John Joseph Osipovitch on July 27, 1941, in the Ward United Methodist Church.

She was employed at the former Preston's Department Store in Canton in 1939 and at the former Rexall Drug Store in Canton from 1966 to 1981.

She was a member of Ward United Methodist Church, Ward Township; Order of the Eastern Start Canton Chapter #71; Friendly Missionary Society, Canton; the Canton Village Improvement Association and the Canton Senior Citizens. Her activities included Girl Scouts, 4-H and was the trip coordinator for the senior citizens since 1977. Gardening, sewing, quilting and caring for many family members and friends were her main interests. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Irvin, Robert, Harold, David and Mason Machmer; sisters, Jean McWilliams and Winifred Kutz.

Surviving are her husband of 52 years, John; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Richard Kelley of Canton, Mary Hamblin of Rochester, NY, and Joan and Walter Scott of West Grove, Iowa; five grandchildren, Brenda Kelley, Gregory Kelley and his wife Kristin, Julie Hamblin, Water Scott and Damon Scott; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Nicholas Kelley; three brothers, Lawrence, Paul and Russell Machmer, all of Canton; two sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Ervay of Horseheads, NY, and Mrs. Irma Earley of Canton; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Morse and Kleese Funeral Home, 40 N. Center St., Canton, on Friday, March 11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. The OES Canton Chapter #71 will conduct a memorial service for their departed sister at 8:15 p.m.

Services will be held there Saturday, March 12, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jasper Smith, her former pastor, and the Rev. Ronald Beistline, her pastor, officiating.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Laura Anna "Lou" (Baum) O'Reilly, 75, of East Ninth Street, Birdsboro, who died April 24 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading. She was the wife of Gerald J. O'Reilly. Born in Robesonia, she worked as a machine operator for Hub Fabricating in Exeter for 16 years until her retirement in 1992. O'Reilly was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Birdsboro. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons, Walter Kaulback III of Pittsburgh, Rodney J. O'Reilly of Oley, David P. O'Reilly of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Gregory G. and Jeffrey Q. O'Reilly, both of Birdsboro; two daughters, Linda Blondheim of Irvine, Calif., and Michelle F. O'Reilly of Birdsboro. Also three half-brothers, Peter S. Baum, Lebanon, Lee Evans, New Holland, and William Blatt of Bally; six half-sisters, Shirley Neubauer, Gertrude Viola and Helen Bann, all of Boyertown, Ruth Grant of Birdsboro, Miriam Henderson of the Poconos, and Anna Reitnauer of Denver; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson. On the 4th ult., in Nescopeek township, Luzerne Co., Martin Orner, a Revolutionary Soldier, aged 97 years, 4 months and 28 days.

Orr, Margaret H.

Mrs. Margaret H. Orr, died of pneumonia on Sunday evening at the home of her son, Jesse Orr, 309 South 5th, aged 74 years. Mrs. Orr was the widow of the late Wm. Orr, who died in this city a few years ago. Deceased was a former resident of Chester County and was a member of the Vincent Baptist Church. Three sons survive, as follows; J. Allison, John W. and Jesse Orr, all of this city.

Orth, Daniel

The remains of Daniel Orth were attired in a handsome black shroud and the regalia of the Junior Order of American Mechanics and lay in a walnut casket. Among the floral tributes were: A beautiful wheel with broken spoke of wax flowers and a handsome wax sickle from his mother; a beautiful wreath of natural flowers from Mrs. Philip Orth; a handsome Star of natural flowers from Mrs. Calvin Dietrich; a beautiful wax cross from James Orth and wife; a wax wreath from Peter Orth and wife. The hands of the deceased clasped a sheaf of wheat. Rev. Huntzinger conducted impressive services at the house, 26 North 10th. Lodge No. 163, Jr. O. U. A. M., of which deceased was a member, attended the funeral. Interment was made at Aulenbach's cemetery.

Orth, James M.

Death of James M. Orth-James M. Orth, a well known hotel keeper, died at his residence, No.26 N.10th street, yesterday, in the 53rd year of his age. Deceased became afflicted with diarrhea about a week ago, and he also suffered from typhoid fever, which caused his death. He leaves a widow and three children-Peter M., James M., and Daniel. Two of his children-Philip and Clara J.- are dead. Mr Orth's mother is still living. Deceased was born in Reading and resided here all his life time. He was a blacksmith by trade and worked for a long time at the P. & R. shops. Later he was employed at the Scott works as a laborer. He then embarked in the hotel business, which he carried on up to the time of his death. He kept the well-known Cross Keys hotel, on Penn street above Eighth, one year, the Red Lion hotel, North Tenth beyond Washington, one year, and then took charge of the Bald Eagle, where he has continued ever since, a period of nine years. Deceased was connected with Freedom Circle, of the Brotherhood of the Union, and the Old Fellows.

Orth, Peter

Sudden Death of an Aged Citizen-Peter Orth, watchman at the Farmer's National Bank, died at his residence, 440 Court Street, shortly after 12 o'clock last night, in the 76th year of his age. He was a native of Reading, and in early life was a rope maker, as were his father and brothers Stephen and Philip. He was a salesman during a period of about 25 years in Keim's hardware store, Fifth and Washington streets. Subsequently he was a salesman some five years in Ely & Evans' wholesale liquor store at the same corner, and after that held the position of city lock-up keeper a year or two, and then, some 11 years ago, accepted the position of watchman at the Farmer's National Bank, which he held until his death. Mr. Orth was of an amiable and very lively disposition, and enjoyed the friendship of a large number of acquaintances. He had a fond[ness] of anecdote and wit, and last evening up to 9 o'clock made some joking remarks in conversation with his neighbors. Soon after 9 o'clock he complained of pain in the region of the heart, and his condition becoming worse, his son-in-law, Joseph Clay, sent for a physician, who told the family that Mr. Orth would not live until morning. He died shortly after 12 o'clock. Many years ago Mr. Orth was a member of the Masonic fraternity. In 1824 he went to Philadelphia with the volunteers on the occasion of the reception of Gen. Lafayette. He was very fond of playing violin, and in olden times he furnished the music for many a dance, on fair and military inspection days. Both his brothers were also well known violinists. A large circle of friends and acquaintances mourn the death of Mr. Peter Orth.

Orth, Philip

The funeral of Philip R. Orth took place from his residence, 42 Mulberry, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Dr. E. S. Brownmiller held services. Mrs. Reed and Mrs. Cleaver sang "The Christian's Good Night" and " Asleep in Jesus." The remains lay in a black cloth covered cedar casket, with oxidized extension bar handles, oxidized trimmings and plate bearing name and age of deceased and date of death, and were attired in a black suit. Delegations were in attendance from the Rainbow Fire Company and Lodge No. 62, F. and A. M,: also relatives and friends from Phila. and other points. The tributes included a pillow on pedestal of natural flowers, bearing the inscription, "Grandpa" in blue, from the Baur grandchildren; lyre on pedestal of natural flowers, Helen Hendel, granddaughter; heart on pedestalof natural flowers, Mr. and Mrs. G. I. Wentzel; sheaf of wheat, tied with satin ribbon, bearing inscription "Too Soon,:, widow; cluster of carnations, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Sprang; cluster of Lilles, Mr. and Mrs.William H. Hendel cluster of lilies, Mrs. Louisa Orth. Mr. Orth was a resident of Reading all his life, and when a boy learned the shoemaking trade, which occupation he followed up to the time of the illness which caused his death. He was in rhe employ of Isreal Wentzel, shoemaker, Franklin above 9th for nearly 25 years. Interment in Charles Evans Cemetery. Funeral director, Hunter Henninger.

Orth, Stephen

The funeral of the late Stephen Orth will take place this afternoon. It will be attended by full deligation of all the Masonic bodies in Reading. The remains, enclosed in an elegant walnut casket , will be in state at the Asylum, at City Hall, Fifth & Franklin streets, and the Manonic burial service will be gone through with. Rev. Giles Bailey, of the Univeralist Church, officiating. DeMoley Commatdery, Knights Templas, will have direct charge. The Muzen's Band has been engaged and the Bir Knights will be in full regalla and equipment.

Orth, Stephen A.

In this city, on the 21st. inst. Stephen A. Orth aged 84 years. The relatives and friends of the family, also lodge no. 62, A.Y.M., De Molay Commandery No. 9, K. P., and the Masonic Fraternity in general, are respectfully invited to attend his funeral on Friday, the 24th inst., at 2 o'clock p.m. from his late residence, 136 North Seventh street, to proceed to the asylum, corner of 5th and Franklin streets, where the service will be held; interment at Charles Evans Cemetery. May the sun shine bright and the storms fall lightly over our dear father's grave.

Ostrict -- On the 13th instant, Mary, wife of Henry Ostrict, and daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Briner, aged 64 years, 10 months and 9 days.

Oswald, Betty J.

Services were held in the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Fleetwood, for Betty J. Oswald, of Baldy Road, Maxatawny Township, who died of natural causes Aug. 1 in the emergency room of Reading Hospital. Burial was in Fleetwood Cemetery. She was predeceased by her husband, Ivan P. Oswald, who died Feb. 16, 2002. Born in Ruscombmanor Township, she was a daughter of the late Stanley J. and Emma S. (Beck) Werner. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown. Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie L. (Oswald) Kistler, Kutztown, and two grandchildren. Other survivors include a brother, Harry J. Werner, Kutztown, and a sister, Mary Lou (Werner) Bossler, Blandon.

Oswald, Charles B.

Charles B. Oswald, husband of Pauline C. (George) Oswald, 722 Franklin St., Alburtis, died Thursday night at his home. In ill health for the past 12 years, he had been seriously ill for one week. He was 51. A native of Mertztown, Berks County, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Sarah (Hauck) Oswald. Following his discharge from the Navy in 1922 after three years service, he joined his father-in-law in conducting a butchering business in Alburtis. He retired in 1939 because of ill health. He was a member of the Lutheran faith and for the past 10 years had served as janitor for the Lockridge Presbyterian Church, Alburtis. He was affiliated with the Alburtis Fire Company, the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club and the Lehigh County Volunteer Firemen's Assn. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Edward F. and Herbert W., both at home; three daughters, Lucille E., wife of Nevin W. Meck, Alburtis R. 1; Doris N. and Marchia Ann, at home; one grandchild; two brothers, William, Emmaus, and Erwin of Alburtis, and two sisters, Mrs. Victor Hilbert, Easton, and Mrs. Nevin Hein, Wescosville R. 1.

Oswald Sr., Dennis R.

Services will be Saturday for Dennis R. Oswald Sr., 60, of Hill Church Road, Pike Township, who died May 10 in his residence. He was the husband of Sandra F. (Brown) Oswald. Born in Reading, Oswald had been employed for 21 years with the Pottstown Police Department, retiring as sergeant in 1990. He also worked in security at Ford Electronics, Lansdale, Montgomery County and Gross Equipment. Bally. Oswald was a graduate of Reading High School and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Penn State University in 1980. Oswald was an Army veteran. He was a member of the Pike Township Sportsman's Association and the Blandon Fire Company. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dennis R. Jr., Alsace Manor, and a daughter, Karen M. (Oswald) Sharp, Reading. Other survivors include a sister, Beverly J. Oswald, Pike Township, and a brother, Dale L., Oley. There are also four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Christ & Catagnus Funeral Home Inc., Oley. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.

Oswald, Emmaline F. (nee Smith)

Emmaline F., nee Smith, widow of Benjamin Oswald, aged 89 years, 4 months and 19 days, a former resident of Longswamp township, passed away Tuesday evening at the home of her son-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Erb, 230 East Walnut street, Kutztown. She was a daughter of the late John and wife, Sallie (nee Bauer) Smith. Her husband preceded her in death many years. There survive three sons, Benjamin, William and Harvey, of Allentown; three daughters, Mrs. Ella Burley, of Bethlehem; Mrs. Reuben Erb, of Kutztown; Mrs. Eliza Stein, Allentown; three brothers, James, of Reading; William, of Wescosville; Jonas, of Cetronia; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Lutheran Faith of St. Paul�s church, Mertztown. The funeral will be held from the home of her daughter, 230 East Walnut street, Kutztown, on Saturday at 1.30 p.m. Further services in St. Paul�s church, Mertztown. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. W. S. Dry officiating. Friends may call Friday night from 7 to 9 o�clock.

Services were held in the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, for George W. Oswald, who died Jan. 6 in his Smoketown Road, Rockland Township residence. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Bowers. He was the husband of JeanL. (Schwoyer) Oswald. Born in Bowers, he was a son of the late Elmer W. and Beulah M. (Helbert) Oswald. Until retiring in 1985, he was employed as a foundry worker by Stanley G. Flagg Co., Stowe, for 43 years. He was also employed from 1979 to 1998 as a parts delivery man by NAPA Auto Parts, Kutztown. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Bowers. Oswald was a World War II Army veteran. Also surviving are a daughter, Michele M. (Oswald) Readinger, Fleetwood; a son, Michael A. Oswald, Kutztown; and three grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Faye A. (Oswald) Rohrbach, Mertztown, and Beulah (Oswald) Bogert, Fleetwood; and a brother, Richard Oswald, Topton.

Oswald, Harold E.

Graveside services were held in the Garden of Honor, Topton, for Harold E. Oswald, who died Feb. 4 in his Chestnut Street, Mertztown residence. He was the husband of Olive Q. (Kramer) Oswald. Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Leroy and Jennie L. (Miller) Oswald. Until retiring in 1976, hew as the owner/operator of a landfill in Longswamp Township for more than 20 years. Previously he was the owner/operator of Oswald's Ice Co. in his residence in the 1940s and 1950s. He was a World War II Army veteran. Oswald was commander of the Ray A. Master American Legion Post 217, Topton, in 1961, and was a baseball team manager for many years. Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer N. (Oswald) Hartline, Mertztown, and Laura A. (Oswald) Hess, Kempton, and a granddaughter. Other survivors include a sister, May (Oswald) Groff, Lenhartsville, and a brother, Walter M. Oswald, Macungie. The Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, was in charge of arrangements.

Oswald, Herman D.

Herman D. Oswald, 75, of 169 W. Main St., Kutztown, husband of Mrs. Edna L. Sensenderfer Oswald, died yesterday at his home. He had been a barber in Kutztown for 51 years. Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late John and Josephine Grim Oswald. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. Surviving beside his wife are three daughters, Leah E., wife of Clarence J. Smith, Kutztown; Helen G., wife of Clarence R. Cartwright, Kutztown, and Mary L., wife of John K. Kemp, Kutztown; two sons, Ralph J., Kutztown, and Ray H., Fleetwood; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Verna Conrad, Allentown, and a brother, Clarence S., Kutztown. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fritz & Kendall Funeral Home, Kutztown. Calling hours 7-8:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Oswald, John

John Oswald, of Kline's Corner, Longswamp, while on his way at night to Topton, to summon a physician for his family, fell into a mine hole, to the depth of sixty feet, and sustained injuries which quickly proved fatal. The deceased was 48 years of age, and left ten children of his own, along with three grand-children for whom he also cared.

Oswald, John Franklin

John Franklin Oswald, of Oreville, Mertztown R. 1, died at 3.45 o'clock yesterday morning at his home, aged 77 years. The son of John and Lovina, nee Rohrbach, Oswald, he was born in Longswamp township, Berks county. For many years he worked in the iron ore mines in the Longswamp vicinity, and for 14 years had been employed at the Topton Foundry Co. He was a member of the Reformed wing of Maxatawny Zion church. Besides his wife, nee Josephine Grim, there survive four children: Milton G., Herman D., and Clarence S., all of Kutztown; Mrs. Louis Conrad, Allentown; 21 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Milton, of Allentown; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Behringer and Mrs. James Weidner, both of Topton. Services will be held Monday at 1.30 p.m. at the DeLong funeral home, 107 S. Home St., Topton, with continued services in Maxatawny Zion church. The Rev. F. D. Slifer will officiate and interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Oswald, Jonathan H.P.

Jonathan H.P. Oswald, an aged resident of Wescosville, died at his home there Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, aged 81 years, 9 months and 11 days. He was the son of the late Jacob and Judith, nee Lauer, Oswald, and was born in Berks county. He had been failing since June and was bedfast for three weeks preceding his death. Mr. Oswald was a farmer by trade, but had been retired for three years. Mr. Oswald was a member of Friendly Lodge, 85, I.O.O.F., of Macungie; Macungie Encampment, 123, of Macungie; Cedarville fire company was the oldest member of the Wescosville Sunday school. He was a member of the Longswamp church on the Reformed side. He is survived by his wife, Annie, nee Guth, Oswald, and seven sons and two daughters: Francis, Harry, Mrs. Harry Clader, John, Lloyd, Raymond, Mrs. Thomas Marsteller, of Cetronia; George W. and William, of Allentown. One stepson, Frank Hausman, of Fogelsville; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Oliver Funk, Wescosville R. 1; twenty-six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Oswald, Kermit C.

Maj. Kermit C. Oswald, 40, of Kutztown, died early yesterday morning in the Walter Reed Hospital, Washington, D.C., where he had been a patient for the last 12 weeks. A native of Kutztown, he retired from federal service in December, 1953, after serving in the Pentagon from 1950 to the time of his retirement. Prior to that, he was a member of the National Guard, from 1956 until 1950, and saw active duty in Europe, from 1942 to 1945. During the last year, he had been acting as guidance counselor and English teacher in the Kutztown High School. Son of Herman and Edna Oswald of Kutztown, he is survived by his wife, the former Miss Mildred Bock, a son James and a daughter Elizabeth, all of Kutztown; two brothers and three sisters.

Services were held in Ludwick Funeral Homes Inc., Topton, for Lillian G. Oswald of Spruce Street, Topton, who died March 13 in Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County. Burial was in Topton Union Cemetery. She was predeceased by her husband, John P. Oswald, who died Feb. 13, 1983. Born in Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late John M. and Gertrude L. (Hilbert) Smith. Until her retirement in 1986, she was employed with H.K. Deisher Knitting Mill Inc., Kutztown, for 20 years as a folder. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton. Surviving are a daughter, Diana L. (Oswald) Wartzenluft, Maxatawny Township; and two sons, Ronald J., Bethlehem, and Randy L., Topton. There are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Raymond D. Smith, Kutztown; and four sisters, Estella S. (Smith) Fink, Allentown; Ida C. (Smith) Snyder, Kutztown; Ruth R. (Smith) Wagner, Hamburg; and Jeanette S. (Smith) Keiser, Mount Penn.

Oswald, Milton

Milton Oswald of Shamrock died yesterday morning in the Hilltop Rest Home, Mertztown R. 1. He was 86. Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Charles W. and Sarah (Warmkessel) Oswald. He was husband of the late Florence (Frantz) Oswald and a member of St. Paul�s Union Church in Mertztown. Surviving are a brother Francis of San Antonio, Tex., and two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Heckman of Allentown and Mrs. Agnes Sterner of Berks Heim. Services will be at 1:30 a.m. Friday at the Earl A. Trexler Funeral Home, 25 E. Weiss St., Topton. Viewing will be 7-8:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Oswald, Myrus T.

Myrus T. Oswald, of near Bowers, a highly respected resident of that vicinity, died at his home at 6 o'clock Friday night from complications, aged 75 years, 9 months and 26 days. He had been ill for the last five weeks. Deceased was a son of the late James and Rebecca, nee Druckenmiller, Oswald. He was born and raised in Rockland township, Berks county. There remain his widow, Catherine, nee Miller, Oswald, and these children: James, of Mertztown R. 2; Emma Oswald, of Wernersville; David, of Topton; Mrs. William Reichert and Alvin Oswald, both of near Topton. Seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Oswald was a member of Christ Lutheran church of Bowers. The funeral will be held at his late home at 9.30 o'clock next Wednesday morning, with continued services in Christ Lutheran church and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. W. F. Bond will officiate.

Teliah, wife of Alvin Oswald, of Longswamp, Berks county, died Monday morning from cancer of the liver, aged fifty-two years. She left a husband, a son John, at home, and two daughters, Mrs. Milton Jarrett and Mrs. Morris Fegley, of Macungie. Rev. F. F. Bond will hold the funeral services on Friday at 9.30 a.m. in Longswamp Church.

Oswald, Warren J.

Services were held in the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, for Warren J. Oswald, of North Park Avenue, Mertztown, who died Aug. 6 in Lehigh Valley Hospital where he had been a patient four days. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Bowers. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen A. (Geist) Oswald, who died July 2, 1999. Born in Topton, he was a son of the late Daniel L. and Katie L. (DeLong) Oswald. Until retiring in 1977, he was employed as a press operator by Caloric Corp., Topton, for more than 30 years. He was previously employed as a laborer in the shell treatment department of Bethlehem Steel Corp. from 1941-45. In May 1996, Oswald and his wife were removed from the state's PACE program because their annual income rose 4 cents over the limit. After bringing their situation public, State Sen. Michael A. O'Pake introduced legislation to raise the income-eligibility limits, and the Oswalds were reinstated in Nov. 1996. Surviving are two sons, Richard D. Oswald and Paul C. Oswald, both of Mertztown; and three daughters: Carolyn M. (Oswald) Seidel, Maxatawny; Mary A. (Oswald) Lloyd, Macungie; and Kathryn S. (Oswald) Grow, Mertztown. There are also 13 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, nine stepgreat-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister, Marie (Levan) Hilbert, Mertztown; a half sister, Mae (Oswald) Lloyd, Macungie; and a stepbrother, Warren Rohrbach, Macungie. He was predeceased by a son, Warren J. Oswald Jr., who died in 1947.

Ott, Francis W.

Francis W. Ott, a former county table tennis champion, died July 26 at 6 p.m. in Berks Heim. Ott, 93, formerly of Hyde Park, was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite R. (Giamotti) Ott, on Nov. 15, 2001. He was runnerup in the late 1930s and early 1940s in the county open men's singles table tennis tournament before winning the title in 1941. Ott was also the county men's double table tennis champion from 1936 to 1940. He also won the semi-finals of the 1941 state open double table tennis championships in Philadelphia. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Bernard and Rose M. (Wummer) Ott. Ott was a self-employed painter and paper hanger in Reading for 25 years, retiring in 1975. He was a 1930 graduate of Reading High School. Ott was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving is a son, Robert F., Sinking Spring. He was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia A. Ott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. John P. Feeney Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Benjamin F. Otto, a former employe of Farr Bros, and father of Charles M. Otto, a Call-Chronicle employe in the maintenance department, died at 6 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of his brother, William H. Otto, Treichlers. Mr. Otto had suffered a stroke about two weeks ago at his home, 519 Chestnut St., and for the past week had been visiting his brother at Treichlers. He was 77. For 15 years he had been employed in the wholesale department of Farr Bros., retiring nine years ago. Born in Mertztown, Berks county, he was the son of Samuel and Fianna, nee Fritz, Otto. He moved to Allentown at an early age and resided her ever since. Besides the son Charles, there survives a stepson, Raymond H. Grim, and one grandson, Paul E. Grim, of this city; one brother, William of Treichlers. His wife, nee Ellen M. Erie, died four years ago. The Rev. S. Franklin Custard will officiate at funeral services to be held Tuesday at 3.30 p.m. at the Ernest B. Zimmerman funeral home, 1124 Walnut St. Burial will be made in Highland cemetery.

Otto, Florence M. (nee Hertzog)

Mrs. Florence M. Otto, wife of Ralph Otto, died yesterday at her home, 228 Furnace St., Emmaus. She was 67. Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Willoughby and Eliza (Long) Hertzog. A retired silkworker, she was a member of Longswamp United Church of Christ. Surviving with her husband are three stepdaughters, Mrs. Mildred Bickel, Allentown; Dorothy, wife of Herman Albitz, Emmaus, and Bertha, wife of Frank Janiszewski, Temple R. 1; a stepson Leon of Newark, N.J.; a brother, Robert Hertzog of Virginville; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Angstadt of Allentown, three step-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. Viewing will be 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Owen, Gwendolyn

Services for Gwendolyn Owen, 95, of 512 Belmont Ave., Laureldale, formerly of New Philadelphia, who died Wednesday morning at Berks Heim, Reading area, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Robert A. Evans Funeral Home, Port Carbon. The Rev. Glen Esler will officiate. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Born in Maesteg, Wales, United Kingdom, she was a daughter of the late David and Sarah Evans Daniel. She was employed as a nurse. She was of the United Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivor Harold, in 1981; a daughter, Elsie Julian; a brother, Haydn Daniel; two sisters, Lillian Shaner and Winifred Dudis; a great-grandson, Daniel Stoudt. Surviving are two sons, David, Temple, and Thomas, Cumbola; two daughters, Marilyn Mackey, with whom she resided, and Nancy Stoudt, Reading; two sisters, Nancy Daniel, Wales, and Maisie Daniel, England; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews.

Oxenford, Mary A.

Services were held for Mary A. Oxenford, 62, of Quakertown, who passed away on Feb. 23, 2004 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph J. Oxenford. They were married for 41 years. Born in Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Raymond C. and Anna M. (McMenamin) Weikert. Mrs. Oxenford was retired from Associated Rubber in Quakertown. Prior to that she had worked for the former Lansdale Tube and Transistor. She was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son Todd J. of Quakertown; a daughter Susan M. Messenger of Harleysville; a sister Joan Boyd of Quakertown; and three grandchildren. Oxenreider, Arthur H.

Services were held in Christ Little Tulpehocken Church, Jefferson Tonwship, for Arthur H. Oxenreider, 86, who died April 12 in his Reider Road, North Heidelberg Township residence. Burial was in the adjoining church cemetery. He was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite V. (Bressler) Oxenreider, who died Sept. 10, 1996. Born in North Heidelberg Township, he was a son of the late George C. and Katie M. (Holtzman) Oxenreider. He was a self-employed farmer in Heidelberg Township. Oxenreider was a former officer of the Farmers Union Dairy, Muhlenberg Township. He was a life member of the Bernville Grange 1887. Oxenreider was a member of Christ Little Tulpehocken Church, Jefferson Township and was a former member of the consistory of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, New Schaefferstown. Surviving are a daughter, Sara E. (Oxenreider) Nutter, Bernville; and two sons, Merlin A. Oxenreider, Heidelberg Township, and Harvey C. Oxenreider, with whom he resided. There are also 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a foster son, Ray C. Kreitz, Bernville and a brother, George H. Oxenreider, Robesonia. He was predeceased by a daughter, Arlene M. (Oxenreider) Feeg, who died in 1985. The Kirkhoff Funeral Home, Bernville, was in charge of arrangements.

Oxenreider, Richard A.

Richard A. Oxenreider, 65, Blandon, died of natural causes May 4 at 3:28 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient two days. He was the husband of Judy J. (Noll) Oxenreider. Born in Temple, he was a son of the late John R. and Carmen M. (Ringler) Oxenreider. Oxenreider was employed for 25 years in the quality-control department by Prestolite Corp., Temple, and was last employed for five years by East Penn Manufacturing Inc., Lyons, retiring in 2000. He was a life member and past treasurer of the Temple Fire Company. Oxenreider was secretary of Buck Camp XII, Morris, Clearfield County, and a past secretary of the Reading Bowling Association. He is also survived by a son, Scott A. Oxenreider, Birdsboro; and two stepsons, Michael A. Noll, LaGrange, Ga., and Robin L. Houck, Fleetwood. Other survivors include two brothers, Terry D., Reading, and Robert J., Flagstaff, Ariz.; and a sister, Janice K. (Oxenreider) Pickel, Sinking Spring. There are also two grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Milkins Funeral Home Inc., Temple. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton.

Oyler, Mildred M.

Services will be held May 16, 11 a.m., in the Milkins Funeral Home, Temple, for Mildred M. Oyler, of West Vine Street, Fleetwood, who died May 12 in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient since April 29. Burial will be in Maidencreek Cemetery, Blandon. She was the wife of Melvin W. Oyler. Born in Blandon, she was a daughter of the late John I. and Edna M. (Gehris) Mengel. During the 1940s, she was employed as an executive secretary for the Boy Scouts of America and American Casualty Co., both of Reading. Oyler was a member of Trinity Bible Fellowship Church, Blandon. Also surviving are three sons, Alan R. Oyler, flemington, N.J.; Jerry D. Oyler, Fleetwood; and Peter J. Oyler, Lewisberry, York County. There are also six grandchildren.
